The First Burn: Allow the wax to melt to the edges of the jar during the first light to prevent "tunneling."
Trim the Wick: For wood wicks, this is crucial! Before relighting, pinch off the charred bits or use a trimmer to keep it at ¼” for a steady flame and better crackle.
Watch the Clock: Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
